Clear Scope. Realistic Expectations.
This Service Limitations Policy explains the boundaries of Ranko's SEO services, including search-engine limitations, third-party dependencies, customer responsibilities and outcomes that cannot reasonably be guaranteed.
Rankings Are Not Guaranteed
Search engines independently determine ranking positions and results.
SEO Has Variables
Algorithms, competitors, demand and technical conditions can affect results.
We Control the Work
Ranko controls its campaign activities, not the decisions of search engines or third parties.
SEO has limits.
Good service explains them.
Ranko Services aims to provide professional, structured and transparent SEO services. However, SEO performance depends on factors beyond the direct control of any SEO provider.
This policy exists to make those limitations clear before and during a campaign.
Purchasing an SEO service does not mean purchasing a guaranteed position on Google or any other search engine.
What Ranko can
and cannot control.
Understanding the difference between campaign activities and external factors helps establish realistic expectations for SEO services.
Campaign Work
Ranko controls the SEO work it performs under the selected service package and applicable terms.
Search Engines
Ranko does not control Google's or another search engine's algorithms, indexing or ranking decisions.
Competition
Competitors can change their SEO strategies, content, links and websites at any time.
Website Changes
Customer or third-party changes to a website can affect SEO performance and campaign work.
Search Demand
Changes in customer behaviour, search volume and market demand may affect traffic and conversions.
Third Parties
Hosting providers, platforms, analytics tools and other third parties may affect service delivery.
No Guaranteed Search Position
Ranko does not guarantee that a website will achieve a specific position on Google, Bing or any other search engine.
This includes guarantees of first-page rankings, first position rankings, featured snippets, AI-generated search visibility, specific traffic volumes or a particular number of keywords ranking within a specific position.
SEO performance cannot be reduced to one ranking number.
Search visibility can change continuously and may be affected by search-engine updates, competitors, website changes, search demand and many other factors.
No Guaranteed Traffic, Leads or Sales
Ranko cannot guarantee a specific amount of organic traffic, enquiries, leads, customers, sales, revenue or return on investment from SEO services.
Website conversion rates and commercial performance depend on factors including pricing, products or services, website design, user experience, competition, customer demand, location and the customer's own sales process.
SEO execution
Ranko is responsible for performing the applicable SEO activities included within the customer's selected service.
Business outcome
Leads, sales, revenue and conversions depend on many factors beyond SEO alone.
Search Engine Changes
Search engines regularly update their algorithms, ranking systems, indexing systems, policies and technical infrastructure.
Such changes may increase or decrease a website's visibility even when the website and its SEO campaign have not changed.
Ranko may adjust campaign activities where reasonably necessary in response to significant changes in search engine behaviour or publicly available guidance.
Factors Outside Ranko's Control
SEO performance may be affected by circumstances that Ranko cannot reasonably control, predict or prevent.
Customer-Side Website Changes
Customers should inform Ranko before making significant changes to their website, domain, CMS, hosting, navigation, URLs or website structure.
Changes made without notifying Ranko may affect ongoing SEO work, tracking, indexing, rankings and campaign strategy.
Ranko is not responsible for negative SEO consequences resulting from customer or third-party changes that were made independently of Ranko's recommendations or without reasonable coordination.
Existing Website Problems
Some websites may have pre-existing technical, structural, content, security or search-engine issues.
Depending on the circumstances, these issues may limit the speed or extent of SEO improvements.
Where Ranko identifies an issue that materially affects campaign performance, the customer may be informed and additional action may be recommended.
Customer Cooperation Matters
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information and reasonable access required to deliver their selected services.
- Provide accurate business and website information.
- Provide required website and platform access.
- Inform Ranko about significant website changes.
- Avoid intentionally removing or reversing agreed SEO work without discussing it with Ranko.
- Respond when customer approval or information is reasonably required.
Ranko cannot be responsible for delays or performance issues caused by missing information, unavailable access or customer-side actions.
What Customers Should Not Expect
SEO services should not be purchased with the expectation that Ranko can control every aspect of search-engine behaviour or guarantee a predetermined commercial outcome.
Customers should not expect Ranko to guarantee:
- A specific Google ranking position.
- Permanent first-page rankings.
- A guaranteed amount of organic traffic.
- A guaranteed number of leads or sales.
- A guaranteed revenue amount or ROI.
- Immunity from future search-engine algorithm changes.
- Immediate results from ongoing SEO activities.
Third-Party Services
Ranko may use or interact with third-party services and platforms as part of SEO campaign management, analytics, website access, reporting or other service activities.
Ranko does not control the availability, functionality, policies, pricing, technical operation or security of third-party services.
If a third-party provider changes its system or restricts access, Ranko may need to modify the campaign approach or use an alternative method where reasonably available.
No Guarantee of Specific Search-Engine Treatment
Ranko cannot guarantee that a search engine will index, crawl, rank, display or continue displaying any specific page, keyword or website element.
Search engines may independently remove, alter, suppress or change the visibility of search results.
We do not sell control over search engines.
Ranko provides SEO services intended to improve search visibility through appropriate campaign work. Search engines remain independent third parties.
Professional SEO Requires Realistic Timeframes
SEO performance may take time to develop. The timeframe for observable changes can vary significantly between websites and industries.
Factors such as website history, competition, authority, technical condition, content quality, search demand and the scope of the campaign may affect the pace of progress.
Ranko therefore does not represent that every customer will achieve measurable ranking or traffic improvements within a specific number of days or weeks.
How This Policy Works With Our Other Policies
This Service Limitations Policy should be read together with Ranko's Terms & Conditions, Service Delivery Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Subscription & Recurring Billing Policy, Privacy Policy and other applicable policies published by Ranko.
If a specific written agreement between Ranko and a customer contains terms that expressly address a particular service limitation, that written agreement will apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.
SEO works best when both sides follow the process.
Customers must not knowingly provide false, misleading or materially incomplete information that could interfere with service delivery.
Customers should also avoid making material website changes during an active campaign without informing their assigned manager where those changes could affect SEO work.
Ask before you change.
If you are unsure whether a website change, technical issue or campaign expectation may affect your SEO service, contact Ranko Services before taking action.
Clear expectations.
Better campaigns.
We believe customers should understand exactly what SEO can do, what it cannot control and what factors can influence campaign performance.
